Well it looks like Don and Lance are putting the final touches on the new track on Saturday and we should have a running schedule real soon. The excitement is in the air about the layout and "test and tune" day went pretty good. Many enjoyed the track and said it was fun. Looks like lap times will be between 26 to40 seconds (some are posted under Race Results). They found a few minor things that need improving. Remember this is a work in progress but should be up and running shortly.

The track is ready! Test and tune on Saturday, March 27 and if enough show up, we will run a free race. New jumps and rock make track look great. Come on out and get the dust off those rc's.

Lance and Don are all most finished with the new layout and it is lookin Great!!!! Still a few more cosmetics and little surprises to throw in and it will be ready. Big News!!!!

We would like to welcome Lance Jones and Don Owens as new operators of the Proving Grounds 2. They bring with them new enthusiasm, new classes, and new layouts to our facilities.

We will still run all the old favorite classes, 1/10 Truck, 1/8 Buggy, 1/8 Truggy but will be adding oval classes such as Eastcoast Dirt Modified (EDM), Latemodel, Sprint, Oval Truck, Slash classes and many others.

This decision was made by the club for the betterment of the track to bring more enthusiasm and excitement that has been lost in years past to our local area. We wanted also to bring new oval classes to this area such as 1/8 buggy conversions to latemodels and EDM's to offer a variety of rc racing. These are only a few of the classes that have been all the rage in rc racing in the last year.

Easy access from I-95, we are centrally located to offer even more and exciting rc racing to the public here in the midlands of South Carolina.

Come out and see the new and exciting changes in the coming weeks to our facilities and meet Lance and Don and help welcome and support them to the Proving Grounds 2 for some extra-ordinary rc racing.

Well we have a new info forum for all track discussion. Looks like Trinity Tech Talk temporary closed their forums so we need a new home. All SC tracks are going to RCSoutheast.com forums. They are new. Have the same interfaces as old tech talk. But now no black backgrounds. Easy to read and understand. RC Southeast Forums, South Carolina Tracks.

Well, the year is coming to an end and Christmas will be here soon!!! Hope Santa brings everyone all new rc cars and other wonderful toys. This next year will be great and we are working on some new ideas for the track so keep in touch and keep an eye out for all new things at The Proving Grounds 2. Cya next year!!!
