The Proving Grounds II and Veterans Memorial Raceway offer premier remote control car racetracks for the South Carolina Midlands.  Our off-road track constructed with red clay with the right content of moisture and has twists and turns, jumps and bumps and even a few surprises for the avid off-road racer.  The oval track is set up like Darlington, SC Raceway and each curve varies from the other with a smooth red clay surface for exciting dirt oval racing!!!

We have the latest AMB transponder system, compatible with personal transponders. The Proving Grounds II has water and electricity on site, to include electric hook-ups for charging or lighting purposes, but not to support air conditioners or compressors. There is a restroom on site, and the track is less than 5 miles from several fine restaurants and a variety of fast food places.

The Proving Grounds II & Veterans Memorial Raceway are maintained and operated by the Sumter Radio Control Car Club, with the permission and support of the Sumter County Parks and Recreation Department. The Sumter Radio Control Car Club operates on a non-profit charter, and all proceeds raised through membership and race events go directly back into maintenance and upgrade of the track and facilities.
