The Proving Grounds 2 offers premier remote control car racetrack for the South Carolina Midlands. Our off-road track constructed with red clay with the right content of moisture and twists and turns, jumps and bumps and even a few surprises for the avid off-road racer. The oval track is a loose dirt oval with a 5 degree bank 350' centerline.

Any other class, 3 or more, that are present to race , we will open that class also.
We have
the latest AMB transponder system, compatible with personal transponders. The
Proving Grounds 2 has water and electricity on site, to include electric
hook-ups for charging or lighting purposes, but not to support air conditioners
or compressors. There is a restroom on site, and the track is less than 5 miles
from several fine restaurants and a variety of fast food places.
The Proving Grounds 2 & Veterans Memorial Raceway are maintained and operated by the Sumter
Radio Control Car Club, with the permission and support of the Sumter
County Parks and Recreation Department. The Sumter Radio Control Car Club operates on a non-profit charter,
and all proceeds raised through membership and race events go directly back into
maintenance and upgrade of the track and facilities.
